Sleep with the doors open, Intervention, November 2008

To unlock all the connecting doors between the bedrooms of a hostel during one night.

A friend organizes a series of exhibitions and interventions during his night shift in a tourist hostel. The partitions between the guest rooms don’t reach the ceiling. The project draws attention to this existing connection by making it possible for the hostel’s guests to use the internal doors to enter the adjacent rooms.

To know whether the guests use the doors, we place a folded piece of paper between the frames and the doors. We don’t inform the guests about the intervention.
